Instant Tour of Dandong: A Gift from Hermes

One of my students, Hermes, gave me these photos as a gift last week.  They were packaged in a fancy tin with "All about The Great Hermes hometown" written on the bottom of it.  The photos are of various sites in her hometown of Dandong.  She put labels on the back of each photo describing what it is and why it's important to her.  Pretty cool stuff.

Manta Ray Awesomeness

I just got back from night snorkeling with a manta ray.  It was definitely the highlight of the trip.  There was only one manta ray but it was huge (10-12ft wide), I also saw a 5ft long moray eel, and a super tiny baby squid.  The pictures aren't mine, they were taken by my dad who scuba'd down to the sea floor while I snorkeled on the surface.
