More odd pictures.  This time from the volcano park.  Thus ends my posts about Hawaii.

Hawaii Diana // Manta Boat Sunset

The first photos are from the dock and boat ride on the way to swim with the manta ray.  The last three were from the luau we went to early in the trip.

Hawaii Diana // The Beach

These were taken at the first beach we went to.  The guy at the hotel said that this beach was where he ultimately decided to move to Hawaii.  It was probably the nicest beach I've ever seen, but not nice enough to make me want to work in the service industry for the rest of my life.

Fish and turtles, all kinds of underwater

I don't think these photos are all that great, but the turtles were pretty cool to swim with.

Manta Ray Awesomeness

I just got back from night snorkeling with a manta ray.  It was definitely the highlight of the trip.  There was only one manta ray but it was huge (10-12ft wide), I also saw a 5ft long moray eel, and a super tiny baby squid.  The pictures aren't mine, they were taken by my dad who scuba'd down to the sea floor while I snorkeled on the surface.

(Unfortunately lava-free) Volcano related photos

Photos 1-4 are from South Point, the southern most point in America.  The rest are from the Volcano National Park.  No pictures of lava, though.  Craters, jungles, volcano devastation, lava tubes, and steamy holes abound.  Today will probably be the highlight of my trip, because it includes swimming with manta rays at night, and visits to Taco Bell and Target during the day.

My skin is so burnt from being out in the sun, yesterday I could barely move.  I feel like a Great White fan from Rhode Island.

My new favorite TV show is Whale Wars on Animal Planet.  Those Sea Shepherd people are awesome.  Also, I've watched at least 10 episodes of Golden Girls since I've been here.

Kona Photos

Snorkeled all day today, my back is so sunburned it feels like it's on fire.  Volcano tomorrow, manta rays on Monday, fly to/stay in Beijing on Tuesday/Wednesday, lose a day, Shenyang on Thursday.  I don't want to go back.

Some photos from around Honolulu and my "Penthouse Suite".  Like I mentioned before, the hotel I booked is filled to capacity.  I told to the woman at the desk that I've been traveling for 30 hours and she said since I'm only staying one night, I can stay in the fancy room at no extra charge.  It's basically just an apartment.  Nothing super fancy, just a big room with a full kitchen.  I guess if I were staying for more than one day, it would be a good deal.

In the picture of the bedroom, you'll notice all my clothes spread out on the bed.  I tried to air them out because they had some weird Chinese smell.  Though they were all clean, they smelled like I'd worn them all in a bar last night.  A bar that only served carbon emissions.  It's a weird smell.

Things I've missed about America:
Discovery Channel (It's Shark Week!)
Gross food
People not staring at me everywhere I go
Politeness
Overall cleanliness
Decent beer can be found anywhere
Vitamin Water
Diversity

Things I haven't missed about America:
So many dudes look like douche bags
All the 16 year old moms
Tipping
Prices
Fatties
Rebel flags
