Get Awesome Mix Part 1
A few weeks ago, I mentioned the Get Awesome Project, a project in which I get more organized, crack down and start studying Chinese, and get my health on. So far, I'm slightly more organized (though it's summer and there's not much I need to organize); I've been practicing Chinese a little more than I used to, including a weekly class/practice session with one of my students; and I've been eating much more healthily and riding my exercise bike every day. I've recently decided, though, to replace my exercise bike with running, which, turns out, is way more intense. I thought I was getting pretty hardcore on my bike, going back and forth between a fast pace (20mph) and a moderate pace (15 mph) for 40 minutes at the time. Turns out, nope. After running for just 15 minutes consecutively, my entire body was sore the next day. I plan to run more though, and right now the goal is to run 5k every morning and slowly bring down my time.
The most important running accessory for me isn't my shoes or the Nike+ thingy for my iPod. It's my Get Awesome playlist. It's worked like gangbusters so far, so I'd like to share it. It's a 50 song playlist that I play at random every time I run so I never know which song is next. Here's the list for the first half: The Cardigans "Give Me Your Eyes"DMX "Bring Your Whole Crew"
